standard exhaust not far off new bought second hand with about 100 miles done, cat mid box back box etc.

blowover respray by previous owner,

suspected engine rebuild at 100k just from word of previous owners, and a gearbox recon at 110k, all gears are smooth and clutch is good

just had:

New fuel tank

new brake regulator

new blue temp sensor

have new spark plugs ready to go in,

also not long had new rotor arm and dizzy cap

full new hand brake cable and rear wheel bearing,

also had new rear shoes which i put in my self

Starter motor also had a new solenoid about 6 months ago and was rebuilt

has solenoids for central locking in doors just need wiring in,

has one fog light as other was broken when i bought the car

Mods:

Lowered 60mm all round phil j kit

de-wipered

aerial removed and hole smoothed,

arch spat holes smoothed on rear,

8k fargehuven tuning chip (however you spell it lol)

momo boss with omp steering wheel

uprated dash speakers

induction kit on atm, but have new afm with standard airbox, just needs filter

G40 rear lights

Clear indies front and sides

G40 vw2 calipers with vented and grooved discs

Door Cards all re-trimmed by previous owner, had plenty of comments about them all being good!

Illest badges on doors

Bad points: as every car has there are a few minor hiccups, the headliner is ripped slightly just where it meets the boot, a few stone chips on the bonnet which is expected with any car, and just little car park dents from idiots that dont watch their doors :L also the boot carpet is missing, and interior seats aren't gt ones as it didn't have original seats in when i bought it. (parcel shelf now in and g40 seats!)

Few spares with car: original gt steering wheel, parcel shelf with 6x9's in,

the rear wiper motor and wiper blade.

drives great, strarts first time, all in all good little runner

Ha no way! This is my mate's old car, he did loads to it that's been undone! It was him that had it resprayed and the trimmed doorcards and stuff. Also gave it bike carbs, different seats, full custom exhaust with a 4-2-1, other stuff.

He was told it had been scrapped!

I may actually be interested in buying this, I'll get an insurance quote :)

Yeh the bike carbs were sold, it wasn't a great setup, had no fuel return or choke lol, so went back to injection and had it chipped :L although the carbs were fun for a few weeks, it just didn't run right on them.

the exhaust wasn't custom either when i bought it either, it was a cherry bomb, far from custom, and sounded ridiculous, had me pulled on the first night i had it and i was trying to drive quietly, i had no chance :L

1) I'm living in south london which means its got a 4 hour drive home. Will it cope with this fine?

2) How low is it sitting? I live in country lanes so cant have its scraping on speed bumps. Is it a lowering kit or just springs? (wondering if a tad adjustable)

3) I've currently got a 6n2 polo, 1.0l. Would you look to do swaps plus cash your way? Only because i haven't got the time, or space for 2 cars. Completely standard apart from the addition of cup holders.

Yeh will do that drive no problem mate, its 60mm all round on the phil j kit, rear is adjustable, no no swaps now mate just want to get rid of it i already have another car and definitely not for a 1.0l

emm its not too bad to be honest mate, can go over them at 30, but id go over the side of the chocolate block ones, just incase something catches. I've always done that as i didnt want to risk it

Right G40 interior is in now, pics to follow when its light, parcel shelf supports and parcel shelf now in as well, has 6x9's in, will probably get some wiring put in for them if i get chance
