i could have beat my self up

i drove perfect the whole test didnt get one minor fault!

even though he was trying to catch me out with alot of hill starts and pulling in at the side of road and setting off again lol

and then the last 5 minutes on the way back to the test centre i pulled out on someone at a roundabout and failed :@

the examiner said he couldent belive i did it i had drove so well and then just ruined it litterally at the last minute

Yeah this roundabout was empty when I was approaching it,

Then by the time this bloke came flying round it was to late for me to brake so I had to just carry on

Probably they had to fail you because of the quotas.

publicly they say they don't have any, but they have to make their pass rate consistent from month to month, if one month they have a very high pass rate the dsa will investigate, thats what my mates dad told me (ex dsa examiner).

had the same thing with my hgv, the first time was a fair fail because i wasn't ready for the test.

the second time they failed me on the gears because i missed the gear going from 4th to 5th once but it did not cause me to slow or hold any traffic up so it should be a minor fault but marked it as a serious otherwise it was a clean test

the third time i made the same error but he didn't even mark it as a minor and it was the same examiner!

chin up man, happened to me 3 times first test 2 minors 1 serious, second exactly the same and 3rd 2 minors! you'll do it next time!

My first test, I had 0 minors and I was less than a mile from the test centre and the clutch cable snapped. (damn, corsa's). He couldn't pass me as anything could have happened in that mile he just didn't know, but I got my second test payed for so wasn't too fussed.

What happened to you was pure bad luck, when you go to pull out just look twice etc, sure you know the drill. Better luck next time mate! :)

Unlucky mate, I passed first time but with 7 minors. Which the examiner said was pretty good, 2 of them were for being 'over-cautious at roundabouts' which I think is balls taking into consideration I was pretty nervous and you'd rather make sure that on your test everything is clear but hey ho...

plus i disagree with half the shit youre taught, you learn to pass your test, not learn to drive.

I did a bike refresher last year. He tried me on emergency stops. First couple of times I was getting a feel for the brakes on the bike. The third time I pulled up nice and sharp. Got it down to a near stop staying perfectly balanced. Did all my checks and rode on. When I came back down he was shaking his head, I couldn't work out why.

"The emergency bit was great, but you're meant to bloody stop not just slow down and ride off!"

i had an annoying man who breathed very heavily for my test, that should be a fail in his part, i had to sit there for half an hour with him!

yeah my instructor said when i failed he had this girl pass her test a couple of days before me, he didnt even think she was ready for it but she got his adi number of a friend who he used to teach and booked it herself, id have told her to f*** off :L apparently she was absoloutly useless at driving but still manages to pass

hes also pretty good at not constantly doing the "test" stuff like we go for chilled drives on the country roads and i go in the pertol stations and shops and stuff like that so its alot more fun learning :)

I've always had women examiners on my car and bike tests and I'm not been sexist but the slags failed me first time on both, same with alot of lad mates in this area...
