Mk4 golf steering wheel in 6n2

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals!

I got a plastic crappy steering wheel in my 6n2 atm.. Ino i could have the gti steering wheel and airbag but i like the chunkyness of the leather golf/seat one

Is it straight forward swap or?

Airbag etc?

Cheers Tom

I think they might fit, although they ate probably a different size so will more likely fit the 9n and later steering shafts, I know the scirroco wheel defiantly fit's the 9n and I'm pretty sure the golf will fit the scirroco.

So really only one thing to do. Buy it and try it.

If it doesn't fit chuck it on eBay. You will most probably get your money back at least.

Also well worth trying your local scrappy, I got my scirroco wheel for £25 and sold it for over 80.

Good luck

Yes, they fit. They changed it to large spline after the MK2; even then it was an adaptor.

The newest Golf wheels fit, too; although you need to modify the slip ring.

they go straight on. i've a mk2 TT wheel in my 6N

They fit on if you dont want a horn or indicatoe self cancel. Because the squib doesnt fit the new steering wheel.

I've put a golf mk4 one on my 6n ( and still have a horn and indicatoe self cancel ) and to keep all as it should it is far from a straight swap.
