Hi all,

I have been a some time lurker here in the 6 months since I bought my 97 6N, but first post.

The 6N had the AEE motor only over here. I'm liking the car - it has enough clearance for my crazy driveway, is cheap to run and although not fast or powerful, behaves itself through the corners well enough to be driven quickly. I'm stuck with it anyhow, having changed the cambelt and clutch since I got it...

Does anyone have a solution to sagging headlining on this model? It sort of sticks back up again if you rub it, but not for long...

Welcome, good to see an aussie on here. Me and the missus are moving out to australia next year and wondered if i would see many polos about.

Anyway, as for the headliner youre probably best removing it, or at least peeling the worst bit back, and getting some fabric glue spray to re-stick it.

You will see 6N and later, in reasonable numbers, and folk are going crazy over the latest model. Nothing pre-6N though.

I was afraid that might be the case with the headlining. Dammit the whole lot is sagging so I'm gonna have to take the whole thing off...will be a sh*t of a job to get it back up again straight...

Just realised - i will have to remove the board that the lining sticks to - then it should be OK. Hope the board comes out OK - if anyone has any experience with this would be grateful for any tips...

Yes bud from the top of my head gotta take the pillar trims off, sun visors off and interior light off and I think it will come out (dont quote me) did it about 3 years ago on my old 6n

You're dead right Jake, it's easy as. Now to brush off the old foam...
