Hello all and welcome to my build thread for my beloved mk2 polo.

Model: Mk2 Polo Coupe Parade

Engine: Coverted from a 1043cc to a 1.3 GT running a weber DMTL setup on the R&R.

Suspension: Coilovers all around.

Brakes: Upgraded to VW2 Calipers and vented discs.

Wheels and Tyres: 14'' Pirelli P-slots wrapped in 175/50/14 Sonars or Steffan BCW 14'' 7J & 8J staggered offset running that hella stretch doe! Haha

Exterior Styling: Retro plates, cut down Golf GT badge, re pin striped dewiper-ed rear and shiny chrome badge on twin light silver stripe grill.

Interior Styling: Coupe S front seats and door cards, Coupe S red dash surround, Wolfsburg window winders/gear stick, removed rear
wiper and breadvan parcel shelf.

Sound system: Two rear JBL GTO 4x6 120w speakers and a cheeky sub.

Security!!!: Always a steering wheel lock. ALWAYS !!!!!!

Comments: Well i picked this little gemstone up in December 2011 and never looked back. He has done about 70,000 miles but the clocks were changed before bought him
so i really have no idea Part of the fun is looking after and learning from him. Learning like i could never could on a (way to complicated) modern car.
My hope is to one day have this car running 115bhp from a straght 1.3 GT, but for now I'm just going to have fun with the 1043cc and do whatever i feel like doing.

Like it! It looks like royal blue, I think my first car was this colour as well (Mk2 ranger on a G plate) but nautic metallic seemed to be a better colourmatch when I was filling stone chips in.

I'm pretty sure its royal blue :) I'm working non stop at the moment so no time to update this thread :( but tonight i should be home for an hour or so to put some more in hear cheers for the comments guys.

Surely you'd get pulled for those plates seeing as they're illegal?

2 months the plates have sat on the car and not one hint of any trouble :) its probably because I drive sensibly and the car looks older.

10 years or so to new though haha

So at the moment the polo is down at the garage having its 4 branch fitted and the center silencer replaced with a straight through pipe :)

It goes up to 2mb (or is it 5mb) if you become a Club Member. Alternativly use something like photobucket and then put the codes of the pictures here.

The 4 branch is in and the car sounds raspy as hell its lush Will get some photos up asap but for now all I can do is thank my Mate jimbo :) what a legend for making up the system and welding It up for me.

Bored hell no :) you can go for it in a 1043 and your not even breaking the speed limit .

so this week coming I'm back to work :( but I'm off all of next weekend so here is the list.

Fit replacement passenger glass quarter panel (current one has managed to leak as in the past it was smashed an then replaced poorly)

Dry passenger carpet out like a boss !!!!

Need ARB blocks so bad as the manifold slightly rubs on the anti-roll bar.

also a couple of rust spots around the body that i need to sort.

dose anyone know how to take off the arch trims without damaging the paint and where can i get the rivets from ??

any help will be greeted with a massive Thank you!!!! as I'm no mechanic

That would be so awesome if only time and money were no worry.
