So a couple of things went down in the last month or so.

New Number plate :D A15 PLO (AL'S POLO) with a small polo sticker next to the P and L ;)

The GT engine is all built and back as one.

decided not to do any fancy modds in the end as the extra 40bhp over my 1043cc will be plenty lol

all though i have decided to not run injection and go with a webber DMTL. saves the pain of new fuel lines/pickups and sorting the rest of the system out.

Plus it will sound much better on carbs ;)

Just waiting for some time off to finish the last bits then end of may in she will go.

Left to do:

-VWII Brakes

-Fit gt rear beam

-polly bush

-order weber carb

-sort the fuel pumps out

-front upper/lower strut braces

-80/60 springs instead of 60/40

-get a life

-and maybe some female company

I feel updated now so i might pissing of for another month :p

When swapping the GT engine do you HAVE to do all fuel lines, tank pump, loom etc? Or can you just literally swap the engine and box?

Well i'm going to be using a weber carb so i can use the same fuel lines, tank and loom :D the only thing i need to worry about is a the electric fuel pump instead of a mech one. if i was going to use the injection system i would need all of those things and it would be a pain for me (I'm not that good with this stuff) ;)

yer just swap the bare engine and gearbox, chuck a weber on and get a descent exhaust manifold.

fuel pump is easy mate just get yourself a facet pump need its literally 2 wires.

looking good so far!

Wow!

Its been absolutely ages since I have had anything to do with this Build Thread!

Well 2014 was an absolutely awesome year, filled with loads of cars, bikes, family and friends.

I spent the whole year rolling around on some stupidly dangerous wheels with way to much rear camber (60 mph+ you literally could not control the back end of the car) and the stretch on the tyres was just funny.

Nothing changed engine wise, still the same gt lump pushing 86bhp with a weber DMTL and a full stainless 4 branch to back-box system.

Here is basically the best picture to sum up the past 12 months....

Been following you on Instagram and keeping an eye on this, such a clean car.

How's the new engine build coming along?

I have a parade too, I also ran a GT engine on a DMTL until the end of summer when I sold the engine and started rebuilding the whole car. I'll make a build thread some day aha.
