They are just the standard ones that came with the car, painted the centres black :)

Another wheel update, though not about the BBS's, yet!

Picked up a set of Minator's in 13x5.

And some 175/60/13 tyres with a little life left in them.

2 x A048's in medium compound, and 2 x A032's in soft compound.

Thinking I'll stick these on the 6 spoke 6N wheels.

And get some wobble bolts and spigot rings for the Minator's and run them as winters with the Hankook's.

Another recent photo, as much as I like the wheel trims, the steels behind them are a state.

Lots of painting and cleaning stuff in the next month before going to the polo social :).

Will also be picking up some Koni adjustable shocks soon, hoping that will make the drive down bearable!

What wheels are you running down to the polo show?

No idea, depends if I get a chance to get the winters swapped over, so it could well be still on the steels.

Surprised they are holding air by the amount of rust on them!

Nothing a wire brush and some wheel sealer wouldn't fix! Ha ha.

Made a start today on the "take it apart, clean it, paint it, put it back together" plan.

Needs to be back on the road for Monday so should see some more updates soon :)

Might of got a little carried away, tried cleaning/ painting stuff with the engine in place but it was just annoying. Not looking forward to lifting it back in as just lowered it with a jack.

Another busy day, painted a heap more stuff.

Also checked the timing belt and its a bit chewed up, luckily I had one hiding away, think it's the right one.

Also have a water pump so might do that too.

Good progress on this. I'll be having a good nosey at the polo show.

This morning I got a help from Steven to change the timing belt and water pump, also to wrestle the engine back into place, somehow managed with just a trolly jack!

Then I started putting everything back together, replacing some bits.

Also, while the hammerite was out I covered the rusty steels.

And the wobble bolts/ spigot rings arrived for the Minator's

That's it back up and running, wheel bearing and hub swapped out, suspension back on etc

Also took the amber bit out the indicators.

Oh, hello! Where did you get that?!

Been doing a bit of tidying things up the past few days.

Stocked up.

Wire wheeled the rusty bits in the boot.

Hammerited stuff again.

Rusty hole started to bubble so was cleared out.

Aaaaand it's gone.

Re-done the plasti dip back bits.

Changed up the badges.

Cleaned more stuff.

The aerosol paint is a bit creamy for alpine white but it's better than rusty bubbles.

And outside to wash off all the back to black mess.

Still needs a Hoover then I might give polishing a go. And get it filled with camping stuff to head south tomorrow for the polo social!

Great effort Ross. The car looks brilliant!

Finally got round to fitting the A048's and A032's.

Had some spare alpine white left over so that got thrown at the wheels, finish is terrible but I don't mind.

Had to try them on and go for a drive, they heat up fairly quick and for old tyres still stick good.

Still need to raise the back a little, got a plan for that next week.

Got round to swapping the winters over.

Before the back was raised.

After, maybe an inch higher.

Like it best with stock get rims on it.

That's another 965 miles done this weekend. Went down to the ClubPolo trackday at Blyton Park with Tav and Steven.

Was quite surprised with how the car went, even with the ridiculous amount of under steer. Did struggle a bit on the straights as everything was pulling away. Still had the most fun ever though.

Had a few mechanical issues through the day, back left wheel bearing loosened its self a bit, rear beam pivot bolt loosened and also the GED brace came loose at one point. And the brakes were only lasting about 10 minutes on track before they cooked and the pedal went to the floor. But now all my slight rattles have gone :)
