Wipers blowing fuse

Featured Replies

Hi All

i have a Mk2 polo which keeps blowing the wiper fuse.

The motor seems smooth and never sticks. The fuse has blown 10 times this month!

Never blows when they are on, always seems to be dead when i go to switch them on.

any thoughts on checks i can do?

thanks guys

Is it the right rated fuse?

Also it could well be that the ground connection could be bad, I'm not sure where it is on a mm2 but I would imagine it would be in the engine bay so checking and cleaning all of them will be a good thing.

Failing that it could be the switch or perhaps there is another circuit piggybacking on it, so it blows the fuse.
