MK2 Breadvan wheels

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am sure this has been covered endless times, but with a log search through the forum i cannot find much on it.

Basically i am looking through eBay etc for a set of wheels for my mk2 bread van but i really have no idea what will fit.

I am looking for a traditional bbs Ra style of wheel.

I know i want 13" or 14" in 4x100 PCD but thats all i know!?

Will mk2 golf GTi wheels fit?

Any suggestions welcome so i can start looking....

Thanks all

I have been offered a set of g60 steels.

Would these fit the polo or would it make it hard to lower at all as they are 15"?

thanks

g60 fit with suitable low profile tyres

I'm sure MK2 Golf GTi wheels are also 15 inch. You can get G60 style wheels in 14 inch form from MK3 Golfs.

Plenty of Golf GTi wheels are 14" P-slots, bottletops, teardrops, BBS RJ and RZ etc

Ok I will have a look for Some 14inch bbs rj or rz's may stick the g60s on the golf.

My golf bbs wheels are 15 I think so too big.

Hi Guys

i have 14" bbs wheels from a golf Gti.

they currently have 195 60 r14 tyres

will these fit the Mk2 Bready on standard suspension??

thanks

Not a chance with those tyres. Even with low profiles being et33 you'll hit issues on the back.

Ok thanks for that buddy.

Can anyone recommend any wheels i can get to replace the original steels.

And also what tyres to fit.

I'm just looking for a nice upgrade and my current tyres are shot.

thanks

G40 wheels usually work, 5mm less offset, look the same as your golf 14" but 13", 165/65 or 175/60 is a good bet tyre wise on a 13". If you can get a higher offset 14" it'll work with a 185 or 175/50.

Maybe you should learn what the numbers mean for tyre sizes as those things are huge.

Thanks for the valuable input there! I am well aware what the numbers mean I just do not know what will fit the polo!

I figured they were much wider but needed input from experienced members

Vauxhall 4x100 6x14s with 165-60/14s are what you need.

Just to give you an idea. I'm running 13x6 et33 165/70, 40mm lows. Only time the rears rub is when I have someone in the back.

Thanks all for your help. I have my eye one a few different sets of 13" 4x100 BBS alloys.

I have a set of 13" borbet A's 165/55/13 on my breadan 75/60 drop and mine rub with people in the back. Going to have to fold my arch lip!!

I also had some wolfrace 14" 175/70/14 that rubbed the f*ck!!! Whatever you go for go low profile as ther wise you'll end up foldin the lip and rolling out that flat arch

Hi all thanks for all your help/suggestions

I have got a set of 13" 5.5J BBS MAHL wheels.

yet to collect them but the tires are shot, what size tire would look right don't really want any stretch but i will be lowering a 60/40 or near there.

What's the offset? They are usually quite low aren't they? Quick google says ET18.

Tbh I'm not sure and the guy hasnt looked yet.

I'm going to look at the standard steels and see what the difference is on willtheyfit.com guessing the et at 18 as you say.

If these are et18 would I be correct in saying these will stick out 4cm further than stock steels?

I think they're usually ET13, so they'll catch on your arches.

13"x6" ET13 on a breadvan:
