Afternoon folks, my gearbox doesn't seem to be very well, but would like to just replace when I remove and then investigate, so the car is off the road for the shortest amount of time. A decent G40 box would be ideal, but more likely and more affordable is likely to be a good 8p box from a 1.3 5speed mk3. So if anyone has anything that they think may foot the bill. Give me a shout! Will travel for a decent box/deal.

Got a box out of my old mk3 Golf ABD. Worked flawlessly, and I kept it as a spare for my mk1 after I converted the mk3 to a VR6. Is the same as a mk3 polo box so a straight fit.

£50, I'm in stockport.

Found the ratios to be;

CWM Final Drive 4.063, 1st 3.455, 2nd 1.955 , 3rd 1.250 , 4th 0.891, 5th 0.740

I have the one currently fitted in my mk1 Golf for sale too. I'll check what code it is but Gaz who I bought it off informed me it was close to 8P ratios.
