May sell for the right offer as I need something diesel, polo isn't put up for 74 miles a day commute

righhtt.. finally won the argument over the missus and I'm keeping the polo under the conditions of it being more reliable, i need some advice on a few issues....

i know shes already low but i want her lower... only problem is the cv joints keep shitting themselves when shes lower, any ideas why?

also i have the 6n2 gti hubs and the holes are slightly larger for the coilover to bolt into, is this for camber adjustment? is there anyway i can change thet because its annoying that everytime i take the shock off i spend a week trying to get the camber spot on

TBF your pretty sickly low, I cant see how you won the argument of it being more reliable when its this low lol =D

cant answer any of your questions as I'm not mechanically minded but love this car and think its spot on =D

Engine lifters/raise so angle on shafts is less severe?

To be honest in my own opinion I thought the polo was quite reliable considering how low she is and how hard she is driven, it broke on average once every 2 weeks but it was always drivable on the broken state to drive her home to fix it, and the fact she done 74 miles a day 6 days a week (apart from now as the 3rd gearbox has popped) she will barely do 74 miles a month now that I have a company van and only get 4 days off a month

That was my only thought, is there an engine raising kit going about atall??

Also I doubt many people rate this but I'm going to get the stance solutions coilovers air ride cup kit just for a bit more practicality also.

most people just use hockey pucks for engine raising....also not sure how the stance solutions kit will work for you as you need 50mm clearance just to fit the kit and i doubt you have that!!!

Tom get it done :) we need some pics of ours together!

What do you mean? I was going to take the helpers out ready for them, i just want the nose down a bit more

I also knew about the hockey pucks which will be my last resort but want to know if there's anything a bit more "Proffesional" but is there a guide anywhere for engine raising using picks because ill more than likely do that knowing me

I've just bought brand new coilovers and a recon gearbox for her, finally got the ball rolling I'm getting excited now so I'm going to whore some pictures because I love reading the comments

Crazy chances eh, just hope he doesn't paint his!! Lol

Can't wait to be driving this again, it's parked underneath my flat at private parking and all I hear most Friday and Saturday night is pissheads laughing at it I love hearing all the comments, love the mixed review this car gets

Also been in talks about getting an open air roof fitted in the next few years when she goes for her respray and mini resto

Edited by thommass

Reminds me of my first Lupo when I whitewalled it, randoms laughing at it as I drove about, I loved it

Open air would be awesome!

I love it too, I mean the car gets a lot of love but then I sometimes feel embarrissed to fuck driving it but i love every moment of it, it's not a powerful car but at 125bhp with the gti lump it does surprise a few and it's my chance to laugh back at them

I really want to get an open air conversion but don't know how pricey it would be and thinking it will probably be better to get the whole roof skin swapped over?

Not much of an update but I've got another polo to steal all the vital bits off.

She's going to be on bags, just on the front though. So It can be parked at my flat and so that it has some form of practicality, but all that really means is it can now be driven a lot lower now lol I'm a static guy at heart but with all the probs I've had she needs air

Was that at cannock mcdonalds ?

Longford?

Cheers bid, and no it's on rayvern air ride but just on the front, the plate recesses are getting shortened too :)

Hello,

Once you bought new gear knob, is the OEM one available to sell??

Anyway, VERY VERY NICE PAINTING WHEELS!!

Brilliant work bud, the rayvern sealed the deal on this, please keep this and do not sell

One of the few 6N's I like. Awesome looking car :-). Interesting you ran into another yellow base one on turbos though. The chances of seeing one of these is slim let alone another the same colour base with the same rims! I'd quite like to own one of these.
