Hi there, doing a conversion on my 6N and gathering bits for my arc, I know the arc has a few extra sensors (what they are I'm unsure off) but basically when collecting parts, is everything the same between the Two motors? Engine looms going to be different..what about interior loom? Clocks etc etc etc. Anyway help would be amazing, cheers alex :-)

one sensor different, Arc has one extra on side of head but does not matter. i run Avy on Arc harness. and ecu.

Whats the extra sensor tho\/ because i wanna run the ARC? do do i need a ARC everything for my conversion? surley the clock are the same and interior loom?

It is the same, sensor is something to do with timing temp, but VW say this sensor does not exist, even though i gave then reg of car i knew had it. i run avy engine with arc harness so have wire plug but its not connected to the sensor as avy does not have it, i have no warning lights etc. all the rest the same the only difference would be one with digital aircon. i have never tried a avy ecu into arc harness but if part numbers are the same cant see why it would be different, clocks etc same.

i thought AVY was pretty much the same as ARC except better on emmisions? should work surely?
