New to this forum so Hello!!

I have an 06 55plate 1.4s Polo my first VW and have a couple of things which i need help with 1st can you tell me what MK my car is I have seen 6N and other things while reading??

2nd I noticed the electric mirror wasnt moving the other day and then i noticed the indicator isnt working either I took the mirror cover off and tested for voltage to the mirror and there wasnt any? Has anyone any info that could steer me in the right direction?? Is it a seperate fuse???

Yours is either a 9n or 9n3 2005 is a cross over year. If it has two headlights on each side its a 9n if it has a single headlight unit on each side its a 9n3.

I think the faults are probably a coincidence, indicator is probably a bulb and mirror probably a fuse.

Just a thought, but have you checked that the other side mirror isn't moving?

If it is, the left/right switch needs moving over. Also, if it is, then the fuse is OK.

Its a 9n3 then new with one piece light!!

The right hand mirror works fine so could try swapping power from right to left see if that works??

And the bulbs are LED so didnt think they ever went wrong?????

May or may not be a stupid suggestion but being a mechanic we have had a few cars come in the workshop that have had new mirrors or window mechs or something in the door replaced and surprisingly try forget the plug the mirror unit back in producing same faults as you, no indicators/mirror not moving

Hmmm could be!!! is there a connector block somewhere??? and is there 2 fuses for the heated mirrors just looked in the manual and there are two number 8's??????????

Not sure on your model but I imagine if you take of the door card and soundproofing it should plug in in the door somewhere.

Not sure with the fuses but may be a fuse per side as not to knock both out if one pops

Its easy to remover a door panel on a 9n so couldn't of thought they would of rewind that on a 9n3 (YOURS) being the same doors aha,

Best bet like above, Pull the door card off and check before jumping to conclusions, If not Fuse is always a clear place to start.

If a indicator on any side isn't working then the relay will go mad, Flashing quickly once the indicator is on, This shows a short circuit often meaning a blown bulb, but if it isn't doing so, then blatantly there is no power what so ever getting to that side mirror so the relay wont recognise that it has to receive 3 signals...

There is only one fuse for both mirror adjusting #11 5amp and there is a 12 pin connector for all of the mirror functions including the indy's

Cheers Guys was the connector block in the door!!!!!!! It looks like its had a new door on before I bought it and they didnt put the block back in right!!!
