you wanna try fixing the exhaust at 3am in the pitch black with no jack and only a phone for light! one of the exhaust rubbers had snapped so with my pikey skills, a shoe lace and a rag i could drive the 2miles home :)

I once hit a badger at night and the bastard tore my exhaust off at the midbox. A few years later, driving in the snow, a lump of snow decided to do the same thing. But to make matters worse the exhaust rotated through 180 and put a huge tear in my drivers rear wheel!

On my way to a weekend camping in rural Wales (we where running late and it was like 10pm at night). I pulled into a petrol station and one of my exhaust clamps caught on a raised man hole and pulled exhaust off from the cat back. I had to drive the last 30 miles with no exhaust, was almost deafened by the time I arrived.

I thought exhausts breaking\scraping\falling off was pretty standard?....

:D

It's a standard pre-'94 feature, yes.

There are certain upgrade options though - my tailpipe can almost take my weight, thanks to an Astra part and a Merc C-class part, joined by two hangers.

Mine was a similar situation to this only at 11 o'clock at night in the pissing down rain in the middle of no where with no light and no phone as my battery went dead.

I used my earth cable from my sub to tie the back box up till i got home.

Then I got a powerflow stainless with revised hanger design, iv got another mk3 my old man uses and it happened to that as well, my mums washing line disappeared that night :).

my exhaust feel off while 8 miles from home !

so i pulled over and black tapped it back on lasted for 3 days :D

i had a motorway cats eye rip my exhaust off  and watched in bounce down the motorway only to get run over and smash into a million pieces really didn't know if to laugh or cry
