The Engine

PY Block, bored to 77mm.

Fitted with 1W crank (new)

PY Rods

Accralite forged pistons and matching rings.

New bearings, (some VAG some not (obsolete)

PY Head (stock)

VAG Metal HG

VAG Head bolts

New VAG Oil Pump & chain.

Sump.

6N Cam Cover.

GT Inlet manifold.

G40 Injectors and fuel rail.

Water pump (new VAG)

New crank pulley and bolt.  ;)

No TB

Comes with sump gasket (can fit with sump if required).

Comes with timing belt (new VAG) and covers.

Comes WITHOUT cam and vernier

Crank, pistons, rods and bolts were all balanced by Graham Goode Racing.

This engine was built by me, I checked all the tolerances as per Haynes and everything was spot on (hardly surprising with everything brand new). This is not a guarantee however, I'm not a pro and I bought the bottom end built and rebuilt it to check for myself, which is probably what I'd recommend any buyer did. There are two methods of getting the 1W crank in a PY block, you either shave the rod bolt head on one edge or you machine away some of the material from the block where the oilways run across the casting. I went for the shaved bolts as you can always change your mind and go the other way. Plus there's no change to the integrity of the block. Both ways have pros and cons.

Pics here, but bear in mind the exhaust manifold, turbo, cam, vernier and thottle body are not part of the deal...

Price for this £1100.

Other bits:

PACET fan, with unused thermostatic controls, (I spliced into stock thermoswitch on rad). Works fine and cools very effectively with the added bonus of not taking up loads of room. You will need to buy some more of the cable ties to fit to rad as the ones supplied are one use only. £60 + P&P.

Any pics of the carbon door cards mate?

How much for the Stage 3 sub frame

  • Author

At the minute thats the only pic of the doorcards I have. But they're not for sale yet anyway unless you buy the shell with them in!

Likewise the subframe isnt for sale till there's a deal done on the shell. But price would be £400.

Shame your breaking looks like a great setup!

Got a price for front coilies? How low they go?
