so!

got some new front wings to get rid of the awful flared ones! the car is filthy so it looks like its a different colour ATM!

also picked up some bumpstrips

then fitted an oil pressure gauge down by the steering wheel, unfortunately some of the vinyl came off of the dash? :s

sorted engine out, rejetted it ect and its finally running ok. just a blowing exhaust to sort.

then today, i had a moment of madness.

the rear arches were flared with molegrips by the previous owner, and just had a load of filler ect chucked over them. they were buggered and looked crap!!

so i decided to make a start on the passenger side, and see if i could make it look better.

heres how it started.

as you can see, lots of dips ect and a horrible shape.

so i started beating the dents out, and bending it back with a hammer ect

then ground the paint off, here you can see the dips in the panel where molegrips were used. got it as flat as i could with what i had.

then a skim of filler

and sanded back, needs another very light skim, and sanding down ect, then i will put it in primer.

and heres how it looks, with the wheel spaced 10mm, it looks ALOT better, more like a standard arch.

i have an arch!! sorta!...

had to give the daily some love...

finally fitted choke cable,

fitted new non floppy engine mount

sprayed drivers side front wing

sprayed lower front valance

fixed splitter for now with cable ties and cleaned it up

fitted new non-snapped exhaust manifold

so yea, now its got a splitter again, engine dont sound like its gonna go bang aswell as fall out, and it looks much fresher!

need more paint to do passenger wing

only do 4 days a week, 35 hours lol. sweeeeet!

today i bough filler. ahahah sickkk

started fixing the other molegripped arch, which looked like this

ground all the filler and shite off and then beat it back to a reasonable shape then filled.

also got bored and fillered the wiper holes

stuck some plastic over the back (with some more filler LOL) to stop it poking through...

will update with how i get on

anyway, did some work on the bootlid today. repainted the smoothed wiper holes and wet sanded then laquered the rest.

looks fresh.
