1.6 afh misfiring

Featured Replies

Finished up going this conversion on Monday night, ran ok for say 7 miles and coil pack packed in. Got a new one and was running great all day Tuesday apart from a little flat spot. So Wednesday morning checked my timing everything was spot on, adjusted distributor a little to clear the flat spot and everything was great again. Until last night where I developed a misfire. Turned out the rotor arm has shorted out and melted :( went and got a mew distributor, (Bosch one) , rotor arm, new cap, new coil pack. Leads where new on Monday as well as the plugs but misfire is still there. Anyone any ideas cause ATM it won't start and when it does misfires like mad then wont idle and stalls again. Need to get the faults cleared? Injector problem? Not sure where to turn to because everything is spot on, timing is bang on, firing order 1,3,4,2? < is that correct? Totally stumped all my vacuum hoses are intact and good con throttle body is clean and gunk free along with head is it was polished when apart, any help appreciated guys.

Thanks

Callum
