If you shoot them in the face its self defence, if you shoot them in the back its murder. True story.

My compound and arrows are within easy reach if required.

what if you shoot them in the face first then once in the back just for good measure? :p

Nah, shoot them in the back and then in the face

Wish I lived with my uncle in N.I. Hes got shotguns. Do what the fuck you want there

I don't agree with a lot the Muslims say, but their method of dealing with them by chopping a hands off of thieving bastards is the best way to deal with them imo. Even if they don't learn the first time they get caught its gonna be pretty much impossible for them to steal after the second

I'm sure they changed the law recently regarding defending yourself.

I think it should be that if someone breaks into your home they are no longer allowed to bring charges against you for any harm that comes to them.

Another good deterrent for burglars is a dog that barks. My little terrier is a wimpy little sod but if there's someone he doesn't recognise in the garden at night, he barks like hell.

My wif'es recommendation is broken glass in concrete across the top of the wall. Even if it don't put them off you'll have DNA evidence.

This is good:

Q and A: Self defence and burglars

I quite like the bit about shotguns.

As for weaponry, my wifes choice:

hammer

My choice:

sword type item

!m!

my weapon of choice - 140.jpg

1 in the bedroom - metal bed frame with hollow legs, makes an ideal hiding place, and because of the curve, easily accessible :)

1 in the car (hidden by rubbish in the drivers door pocket)

Brilliant idea that, my bed has two and the are both broken ( :unibrow: ) so they can be removed easily :ninja:

I just keep a bat next to the bed, no point hiding it cause it just means more fucking about trying to get it out if you need it, might be easy now but being half asleep, confused and in the dark it would probably be a different matter.

Just looked at those Maglight 6D torches that Ceri mentioned earlier and they are so much cheaper than I thought they would be, I expected them to be galactic money, plenty bright too, you could probably just blind an intruder until they leave.

i remember reading that they are legal to use as self defence weapons

even better if you convert them to run on smaller cell batteries and fill the bottom with lead ;)

Usually two of them at least. So beware attacking people on your one, they're probably more willing to do you damage tbh

Not a great deal of damage they can do when you've stoved their head in is there, really?

Or when they're missing half a face to a gunshot wound...

I watch too many movies... Can you tell?

Think so.

And then there's me who just sleeps through it anyway.

I do if I'm not on my own, if I am on my own, the slightest noise wakes me up

I don't even look threatening, especially when I'm just in my underwear...

A few years back, our lock on the back door broke, so we couldn't lock it- stayed like that for 6 months or more and never had anything happen. Now, I leave front door locked with the key in (thats the one with the letterbox in.. never use front door. I doubt you'd be able to get the key through the letterbox anyway unless you were mega-skilled as there's no key rings etc on it) and the back door is the same if I'm alone upstairs at any point in the day, at night it's locked and key left in, in case we need to get out in a hurry.

half a wooden hockey stick with a golf ball taped to the end at the side of my bed...

wheel wrench in the car.. dont care if its visable i may need to use it..

if i find someone in my house.. i will torture them for weeks.. and maybe kill them, i will cut their fingers off one by one and feed it them.

my house got cleaned in 2001 when we was on holiday has a family. the theiving scumbags slept in my house overnight and even decided to unplumb the washing machine ready to take it...

i will find you and i will kill you..

I have a very hostile anti theft device in the Polo, good luck with being able to drive away in your own car after an attempt, let alone that one.

The Golf and 206 don't have such a device, but they're shit anyway, anyone nicking them would be doing us a favour.

The house - well i'm afraid i can't sit back and let you take any form of control because there's kids to look after, whilst a KO would be preferable i probably wouldn't have the physical strength so i'm afraid self defense techniques will be dirty/nasty with long term consequences for everyone involved.

You all sound like Ross Kemp

Went to play Xbox...controller missing. Shit burglars.com

I was at the my old house a few years ago and I see this black motorcycle parked on front of the drive way so I go out the back door and go around the house to check it out. I come into the bit of garden at the side of the house and there was the rider; black leathers, black helmet and tinted visor. He's standing there checking out my dads complete piece of shit canoe and then he left. No idea who he was, canoe never did go missing or anything.

I'm here by myself but i have my own torture methods and a packet of fireworks ;)

plus theres usually a dangerous weapon at arms reach no matter where i am in the house. you can kill simeine with a biro after all!
