calling bike carb owners!

Featured Replies

is it just me or does everyone else running bike carbs as a daily, notice a big drop in mpg as the weather gets really cold?!

i seemed to have dropped down to 15mpg to my last £20 of v power! 50 bloody miles! its scary

all that consisted of was a few days of driving too and from work and a few other odd journeys but all mostly under 7 miles before stopping again

I think mine runs leaner and probably uses the same amount tbh as it doesn't adapt to suit the denser air like EFI would, I average around 33-36 without being a bore

My golf does around 30mpg regarless really.

Maybe i'm just lucky.

Not much of one. But having the car sitting at fast idle to warm up probably knocks a fair bit off.

Not much tho lol .. People look at your car like its broke. 20 year's ago it was the norm for people to be sitting there with it revving its bag off lol

I've not noticed anything.

Loves the cold air though :)
