Just been told my car has failed its mot on these items

Failed mot. Number plate needs lifting on the front. Top strut bush has movement. Horn needs fixing. Needs 2 mirrors not 1. Brake needs tightening.

Now the guy doing the work on it had said he fixed all them items. The horn was on a continuous stick. I was only running a drivers mirror, but the mechanic got me some mirrors to use for the mot, instead of having a brain and using both he used just one grr. My front bumper (as some of you know) is a bit strange with the holes for a bracket (caddy style) but the mot man decided its too low so need to move it. Brakes, waited over a week and half for his "friend" to come with an auto bleeder even though he could of done it himself, but anyway. They needed even more tightening?

Now is all this right or are they both being a set of jobs worths

Number plate too low? Never heard that one before.

The horn is a valid one as It must be working.

Do the work yourself? And if your wernt happy with the time ring up and complain.....

Thought that myself, aparently they needed to be just a bit tighter. Wouldn't an auto bleed do them correctly anyway? I've got friends with caddys that have no front bumper and drilled the plates silly low. Yeah valid standard horn.

PoloTommy, I was doing the work myself but with me doing painting and decorating there wasn't even light in the day. Believe me I did. I rung him of several numbers, went to his house numerous time, he would just text and say sorry he was busy.

I see so just generally a dickhead! I would of told him when you picked the car up you won't be using him again! One to avoid!

Pretty much mate. I'll be collecting the car later and will be telling him what for. He seemed dodgy anyway as he did work on a converted G a mate was buying. Said the charger is worth 1k easily. Yet its standard and hasn't been serviced for the past 2 years or more
