I wouldn't do it. My cars just snapped half a coil off the other day. Knocking its self to peaces every time I go over a bloody bump. Probs doesnt help if they aren't seated correctly but who cares just dont do it and if yoy do, make sure its a sensiable amount so you dont fail your mot. a coil wont change the ride height that much any way.

You cut your coils did you? Were they not seating properly?

I Have a set of Apex lowering springs that i had on my car for about 3 months. They lower it between 30-40mm. the ride height is nice with them but you are still able to tackle speed bumps and have a bit of weight in the car. They are also a bit stiffer so improve handling a bit. you can have them of me for £35 if you want.

Just thought that would be a better option.

^^ Thanks to relatively few coils wound far apart, Apex springs are rock hard, even the 30's. I had a set, the 60mm TA's were softer!
