Good find bud

il be honest- not a big fan of that chassis notch. what i discovered when i started work on my engine bay was enough to scare the life out of me. id have reinforced it more then that.

Whats with the steering rack angle? theyve not lowered the steering arms! :-S

good car though! very different with the styling being so sharp with the lines instead of being smooth

I'm sure the chassis will take the awsome power of what looks like a standerd 1L! Haha.

The engine power isn't the only issue, pretty much everything on the front end including the engine and parts of the suspension are suspended off those chassis legs. The early chassis legs are piss week anyway so chopping big chunks out of them really isn't a great idea

legend!!

i wouldnt worry about the notch if this is how its gets around...

looks like its only driven off the trailer at shows so its hardly gonna under much stress, but yeah they did it the easy/wrong way

All respect lost for this car now :-(

I had no idea it was a rebuild of this car!

At least I assume it is based on this:

I don't actually like the end result, but it's a really cool build with some incredible details.

6n front bumper doesn't look too bad tbh

It looks shocking on the trailer!

are them arches custom made? i want something like that for mine

Beautiful car like, love them discus wheels, but it's a trailer queen so that ruins it for me :'(

It could be just genuinely getting traitor'd somewhere? 1 picture can't pin this guy as a trailer queen surly! my cars sat on a trailor before as well!

I personally quite like it!

haha! What I was thinking. Also shows can be a long way away. I sure wouldn't be driving all that way on metal seats and a little 1L.

TBH given how low it is with no engine lift its not driveable at full drop which tbf is rather dissapointing.

The gearbox brace mounts have been cut off, looking inside at the floor it looks like they have been removed with a hammer and chisel! MESS! not overly impressed tbh, small aspects are good, but on the whole... not keen.

It would need at LEAST a shortened sump/exhaust/gearbox casing/modified floor pan to run what it has...

Lets run through the above for an idea.

To shorten stock small block sump you need to shorter stock pickup pipe which isent easy, ATALL... Once that is done your then left with the pump chain sitting lower than the pickup which stops the sump being shortened more than half a inch.

Exhaust manifold, if running under the engine as it is then it can be shortened 1" max on the downpipes as the offside drive flange stops anymore being done.

Gearbox casing, well... if you do manage to shorter sump and exhaust the lower end of the gearbox casing restrics going lower where it bolts to the engine, not a major issues but not something to be taken lightly. ALOT can be done with an engine lift but that engine bay doesent look like like it has a lifted engine.....

Which also brings another problem in lifting the back of the engin he doesent mention if he did engine lift, the gear selector.... The selector rods soon hit the floor.... Anyone wanting low I'm sure can work that out, same with the selector housing, the ball on the bottom soon rubs through if running low. Its mainly the smaller issues not many think of and well, they are the ones that give this away as a trailer queen/fully aired driver.

So beinn, looking for pics of how to go low? your looking in the wrong place, that nato jobby looks scary with them notches let alone other issues in which he hasent addressed!

my cars been trailered before to the spray shop and back, I've done about 15k in it since as my first/work car though

the pic is from the album MIVW 2011 on facebook and about the distance thing, if they dont drive it because of the distance to the show, when is it driven? its obviously not a daily and if its not driven to shows as they are too far away, when is it driven? not seen any rolling shots of it anywhere, lots of it parked up at shows though!

i wouldnt be suprised if that car isnt road legal looking at the lights, interior and notches its got... who would want to drive it  personally looking at the mods it has i dont think its driven except off a trailer. dont get me wrong it looks cool as! but everythings easier if it doesnt have to be road legal or driven hence the questionable notches...

Don't worry, my gf found this while looking for something else.

I know how to do it.

If I'm looking in the wrong place then you better tell Ben/polomon He is too!

He has be talking to the bloke who owns this on Lowfamillia FB.

Was going to message him this but he has his securety settings max out! :/

Dude was just sayin......

If its a car made just for the pictures then so be it, it's only a polo coupe shell, if it is tho, he does it well! I mean he's got his own thread on CP !

Beinn, it quite possibly is Ben.... I wasent looking to find pointers, I was looking to prove a point and prove what a let down this chappy is, I was dissapointed to find it not static and to see how he's gone about so much so badly. Its not as simple as it sounds so good luck, mines off the road to potentially go another inch lower but more ground clearance than now :-)

The lad I was talking too didn't own it also, he knows its from the chezc republic and its static and well, that's bullshit for a start off as its quite clearly on bags. jussayin. Got reverse rake too.... Hahaha!

So has the retard that bodged a turbo to his 1 litre and blew it up while making himself look like a total bellend, its hardly prestigious to have a thread on here

 very true!

i do like the car  its completely different style to any on here (i want my headlights to be as mean as that but i dont think i can at all legally) but some of what they have done seems a bit odd, to me it looks like it has air on the rear.... only :retard: must be for offloading it off the low loader :lol:

How about having some headlight protectors painted matt black, which can be easily clipped/unclipped for driving at day/night?
