I'm sure they come in any TDI or high performance vag engine KR's,ABF's,Lupo gti etc etc..........

Your not being a pain.....

What time of year is it?

They can get some but not until the new year and I want the engine built before I go back to work..

"The customer is always right but never correct" and as a side note they are refunding me the cost of replacing them (if I get them in time ) and all the work they are doing is now free. ( I'm not daft )

Now do you have any or not?

TBH mate, for what they are, i would buy new

have you tried motor factors?

sorry i dont have any, but i thought i would give some advice

6n2 gti and lupo gti engines have them, might not be much of a help but at least it gives you something to look for. Engine codes avy/arc

Have you had these retro fitted? It's just the afh doesn't come them as standard

Actually thinking about it I think prankster might possibly have mentioned that he had some spare ones of these from a 1w, might be worth dropping him a pm just to check?

yeah i was going to say too the AFH doesnt come with them standard mate

so unless youve retrofitted them as Guy says then they never had any to lose

Thanks for all your help fella's I am sorted now engineers text me to say he has a set getting delivered tomorrow,

Yeah the AFH does not have them so that's one job they are doing retro fitting some from an ARC.

Panic over thanks again chaps............

Thanks series2 :)

No, i didn't have any spare, though I was thinking of retrofitting some. IIRC Kiz had a spare set he was selling as part of an engine conversion.

Ah right, wasn't sure if you had them off him with the rest of that stuff you had

Just out of interest how much is it costing to have the squirters retro fitted?

Me? I haven't looked into it yet (one engine at a time!). My main concern is the drop in oil pressure it might cause. Know of any more 'powerful' pumps that fit the small blocks?

No Si, the OP who's getting it done

Would the chain driven AFH oil pump not be an upgrade? What pump does the 1W use?

I'm using the ARC pump which bolts straight up and to be fair is only one digit out on the part number.

AFH 036 115 105- ARC 036 115 105B.

As the Squirters then selves have a little check valve inside they must only operate under load when the oil pressure increases.

Wonder what pressure they open at..

030103157C oil spray jet / ARC,AVY listed @ 8.45 €uros ea on vagcat

does the AFH already have the bosses into the oil gallery to take these?

the oil spray jet in the first picture has a little check valve in ? realy hummm i want to no more

does anyone have some more pictures of these jets removed ?

what pressure do they start working ?

how do they get a increse in oil pressure I'm shore the oil pump has a pressure relef valve fitted

so the engine will keep even the same oil pressure through the rpm ( rev range ) or ill be having all sort of oil pressure problems

No it does not they are using my spare block as this build is just slightly experimental.......... :-D

Just connected one up to my blow gun and dropped the pressure down on the comp then gradually increased it until the ball moved and it cracked open at just under 2.5 bar that's almost 30 psi.......

Anyone running an oil pressure gauge on an AFH??

humm can i fit these to my g40 py block ?

anyone useing a oil pressuer gage on a g40 ? does the reading ever get over 2.5bar 30psi ?

  • Author

Sorry that's 35psi.

The oil pressure raises with revs

It on another thread ATM it's 1000rpm to 10 psi or 1 bar

So more revs gives more pressure

Interesting vid on oil pressure.

You might be right man but this is the path I have chosen so I must fight the good fight and conquer.
