standard 16v block cleaned and painted black

honed cylinders and new rings around 2000 miles ago

new big end shells and main crank shells about 3000 miles ago

lightened and balanced rods

nearly new oil pump

timing belt tensioners only have around 5000 miles in them

i will also include a top quality gates timing belt with only 1000 miles on it!

i never changed the waterpump as it still looks in great condition

lightened and balanced flywheel

i shall not be including the clutch as this will be swapped onto my new engine

yep, because i had massive blisters on my hands after doing them! compression results are spot on so they seal fully :)

I mean cut not lapped lol, cause changing the guides can offset them a bit so they don't sit concentric to the seats

hmm, well he didnt mention it when he fitted the new guides, but if its standard procedure anyway then ime sure it was?!

i shall contact the lad who did it and find out :)

Weighing up getting my own head fitted with larger valves and such and a fancy cam kit or just getting some cams alone with a standard/flowed head.

To set the vac advance in one position as bike carbs tend to advance it too much!

would the carbs fit straight onto a 1.3 mk2 engine? also how much deleivered to bournemouth? very interested!

Not really, the flange is different and you would need smaller jets in the carbs, the rest of the setup would work fine but i want to sell it as a whole!

no, it was sleeve jointed onto the rest of my custom system so there was no dedicated decat pipe as it was on a mk2 anway :)

Officially made 111 on the rollers with similair torque, although not the power expected at all which is why i would rather sell it in parts. The only conclusion we could ever come to is the mods not complementing each other to give maximum power! It was still a very fast car and did the strip in 15.171

Nah sorry gearbox isnt for sale, its a gt box with a quiaffe diff fitted. :)

If its still the afh head then yeh the 421 wil fit fine
