Alright guys,

Slightly new to clubpolo as I only used to use the classifieds for wheel hunting, but I recently got my hands on a 6n polo and thought I would share it. Anyone that is also on clublupo may have seen what I used to drive:

Ended up getting a little bored with the lupo and friend made me an offer I could not refuse for the open air. So 4 days ago we swapped.

The roof actually works, only done 72k, runs solid and apparently purple is a rare colour? Especially for an open air, anyone confirm/deny that?

It's had a few things, like a black headlining, pressed plates and low on JOM coilies by previous owner, but similar mods to my lupo.

This is how it first looked when I got it, yes the wheels looked awful with the purple:

Had some matt black spray laying around and thought that would be better than red/white. I actually love the wheels in black, especially on the purple

Will get more pictures soon, after christmas and hopefully in some better weather. There are a few things that need addressing and I do have quite a lot of ideas in mind but recently leaving my job moneys mad tight and progress will unfortunately be real slow.

your a fan of banded steels then! black is the best colour for bandeds though, look meaaaaan as! 6n is looking tidy, i reckon it would look pretty good with black indicators and side repeaters though and maybe the rear lights?

I am indeed, well wheels in general, had the lupo 4 months and had 6 different sets of wheels in that time! But yeah 2 pairs of bandeds. I might do actually, I want to see what 6n2 rear lights and clear indicators look on it. May be getting a debadge grill off a friend for free but I like 6n's with badges.

I think g60 style steelies do, but I actually really like black, might do the dishes silver/chrome affect and leave the centres, who knows ahha.

Not done alot over Christmas, just cambered the rear, got the car tracked and got some team heko wind deflectors.

Thanks man! Bandeds are 7J et4 front and 7.5J et-2 rear. 175/50 yokos on front, 165/55 nankangs in the rear. Want another set of 165/55 for a little bit of stretch on the front.

So mate had to get some pictures for a photography course and choose to use my car as his subject. so it got it's 4th! Wash this week and it be rude not to take my camera out too. Here are a few that I took..

Thanks for all the replys, next on the list in 6n2 all red rear lights, already tried clear indicators and a badgeless grill but didn't like either.

Haven't updated in a rather long time. This happened..

Aswel as no helpers, matching 165/55 tyres were put on the front to replace the camber/tracking worn 175/50 yokos, so this is how it sits..

Completely forgot about my build thread on here! Not a great deal has happened to the polo, more little things.

Firstly bump stops came out and dropped dramaticly, so much driveshaft was a constant rubbing issue and even in middle of my own road it was scrapping every 5m haha. So was raised 13 threads to wear driveshaft was still hitting chassis on hitting anything as big as a pebble or braking for round abouts haha.

This also mad front tyres scrub awfully, so heatgun and rubber mallet came out. Did't go to plan, drivers side came out fine, but paint chipped all the way round on the passengers side :( Also 2 days later I return to my car to find 2 fuck off dents in the same wing. Not happy to say the least. Seeing as it was already beaten to shit and chipped paint, me and a friend decided to rat it. Also put my spare 16v front bumper on but this is still in black/primer.

Next was new wheels. Bandeds made way for some starmags. These needed alot of work and after hours and hours of polishing they still aren't how I would like them. But not alot I can do with that ahha. These also have 175/50 yokos on them so front arches needed some more mallet treatment.

Other than that fitted some 6n2 rear lights that I managed to score in the local scrappy for £20! And most of the rear interior and carpets has been taken out, #becausegokart, and well I got bored and I'm encouraged easily ahha.

Driveshaft has been self notching for a while now to the extent where I have been able to wind the coilies back down those 13 threads, all way down without bumpstops or helpers, but I reaaaalllly need a notch. Also wing has now been sanded back to a semi shiny raw as the rust just looked shit!

Haven't updated in a long while but not a great deal has changed really. Car returned to all purple (wing & bumper) Got lower, not by much but it's pretty daym low, by no means the lowest but did the arch measurement and was surprised where it sat. Other than that and few things like stickers, ghetto decat and taking more and more breaking it's pretty much the same. Here's some pictures to keep this alive haha.

How it's currently sitting, tempted to put the 8v back on, but i always swap and change between the two and i've pulled either end off the lower valance off few times, mostly up local track of lydden.

I was thinking that, all due to one uniform colour.

Rivets sounds like a real good shout! It was bolted, but they were prone to snapping :/ cable ties seem to work the best for me aha.

Thanks man! I need a notch (worn a hole in chassis :s), some coilover modding, oh and my scrape plates welded on, then maybe a tiny bit lower
