This made me cringe. Is this for serious?

i think the only time they spent money on the car was buying some new wheels.... dont get me wrong, low budget TV shows are ok sometimes, but in this case, they take a shit car, make it rusty, and put wider wheels on it and zilch else.

so all the way around the world they've got the same technique of making themselves look silly!

Love MCM, great show.

Nope, watch their Honda Civic and TRD Lazer build videos.

it's light hearted fun, Jeez. Rat isn't a popular thing in Aus, get over it.

They spent money on paint, beer and some stickers too, as well as the JOM coilovers.

besides its a mk3 golf.

I did consider that approach as I'm not a big fan of mk3 golf and if u compare it to some of the stuff ypu see over here in the UK its not that bad, if it had been a polo then the opinion might have been abit different

I watched all the way through and 100% agree it's light hearted fun, and it's not cringy, and i didnt take it seriously, it's just a cheap effort at modifying. almost blue-peter for cars haha.

I watch MCM :ninja:

there is some stuff I've seen that is rather cool, i did see the one where they put a ipad into a dash using it as the headunit which was rather cool

I love the show tbh.

Not boring, have a laugh. Pretty down to earth, good crack and do make a valid point.

Such as "we use an iPhone for 0-60 tests because that's what people use then post on the Internet for people to argue over"

:)

MCM zombie edition

8-)

I was going to past this a while back, I LOVE MCM as well, watched all the videos, and MOOG makes fantastic music!

(used in the alot of the series)

Personally i love MCM, i wouldn't really bash them unless you know what the series is about.

They are taking the piss out of the car scenes who do this kind of stuff, as serious car modders themselves they do make very valid points and especially when it comes to more serious episodes, do provide very good, valid and accurate information, especially the "busted" episodes, such as why air intakes are a pile of steaming poop!

Also MOOG makes some awesome music......and Rake loves my Polo....it even says so on my window!

I seen alot worse "rat" efforts. Maybe if the people who ask 'I want to rat my Polo' watched that video they wouldn't need to ask so often.

The one thing that made me laugh was when they said custom made over fenders...weren't they just standard Golf arch trims haha.

I'm sorry, but the 'Rat Look' simply doesn't do it for me. I forced myself to watch the video all the way through but the only other time I felt that sick was when I tried to watch a film called 'Frozen' at a friend's! (For those that haven't seen frozen, it basically consists of a group of youngsters trapped on a ski lift freezing to death and being eaten by wolves) That was 'unwatchable' too!.

My idea of a car with 'street cred' (whatever that it) is any old car that is nicely turned out and original.

As it was, those presenters took what looked like a reasonably tidy Golf CL that just wanted it's gearbox overhauling, and subjected it to bestial violence.

I don't think that I would ever like to see anyone do that to a motor car ever again.

Mind you if it had been a Vauxhall..........

I thoroughly enjoyed this :)

Just watched the link... and i loled a few times :ninja:

when he opens the box of JOM coilovers made me laugh "dude theres nothing in the box!!"
