Hello guys here i am again lol :p i am about at the teather end of my car now as it still running like a bag of f******* shit :@ and I'm getting sick of it I'm one of these people that wants my car to run perfect or atleast nic3e and not cough and splutter everywere the car mainly misses and coughs and splutters in the cold and sometimes when its warm , i have had compression test done :) all ok i have replaced fuel filter air filter coil pack ht leads spark plugs are a couple of month old i really am sick to f****** death of it now so would you have suggestions people oh and i have stripped the air box down cleaned hrottle body wiyth lil tiny brush and carb cleaner but still runs like shit

Sticky valves maybe, have you checked all vac pipes for leaks ect.

Don't give up! Is the engine management light on/been on?

Have you changed the coolant temp sensor?

mine used to splutter now and again

found the distributor rotor shaft had lots of play in it,replace distributor and fine ever since

it wont have a dustributor :p its a 2001 polo :p and nope i havnt changed coolant temp sensor as the temp guage seems to work ok :) and engine management light i think someone has took bulb out lol :p can u take the clocks out of them and replace bulbs ?

Just because the gauge works doesn't mean the sensor does. It's a 2 part sensor - one controls the clocks, the other the ECU. And they're common as muck to replace.

When mine went it would buck and judder but it wasn't my right foot..

Got it on Vag-com and the temperature reading was going nuts. Replaced and it's been fine since!

Engine mangement can't be removed. Well, not easily. Not as easy as removing a bulb. They're LED's and controlled by CAN.

can the bulbs be replaced in the dials ?

They're SMDs soldered into the board.

Someone could have put tape over it internally I guess.

so how would i got about taking the dial out and taking tap off if there is tape on them would it be safe to do it ?

and does anyone know where the coolant temp sensor is located on the ahw engine ?

I have a coolant temp sensor :) just wait for engine to cool down before fitting it

I have changed coolant sensor :) rebled all the system :) fan kicks in at bang on 90 c :) just have to wait to start her when cold now :( cause that when it missed the most
