Chris Foster's GT coupe

Featured Replies

Model: 1993 GT coupe

Engine: '3F' engine with full stainless steel Powerflow system, Rolling Road result gave 88bhp@5995rpm and 85lbft torque. Not bad considering the only modification is the exhaust.

Suspension: Gmax 70mm springs and shocks on the front. Gmax 70mm springs and FK height adjustable shocks on the rear. Estimated lowering is about 70mm front and 90mm rear.

Brakes: Standard.

Wheels and Tyres: Steffan BCW (7*14 ET24 front, 8*14 ET15 rear). Contisport 195/45 tyres.

Exterior Styling: Debadge grille, clear indicators/side repeaters with silver indicator bulbs, all-red rear clusters, rear wiper removed, smooth tailgate plinth, suicide girls decal and a 2" rolled tailpipe.

Interior Styling: Late spec GT interior with black doorcards and headlining. Seats replaced for Coupe S items with red stripes.

ICE and Security: 17cm Boston speakers in Audioscape door pods, MB Quartz 6x9s in rear shelf, Kewood CD head unit, Garmin i3 sat nav, Quantum alarm/imobiliser.

Comments: Have recently removed a Golf GTI air flow meter and K&N cone filter due to running problems. I'm now pretty sure the AFM that I bought was broken, making it impossible to set up properly.

Looks like you've gone dogging in this shot, just looking for the bloke in the bushes.

oh so you were the guy in the Lupo ratty!

Man that looks so nice and I love those wheels! I remember seeing a G40 forsale on ebay same colour same wheels in nottingham, had a front mounted intercooler though, thought it was your car for a mo. Wish I'd bought it now. Respect!

Your car is naughty 8-)

Proof that less is most definitely MORE.

Karl.

new mods, new pics :D

@Jon S... I am very sad to hear that there is another grey coupe with the same wheels as mine. Hopefully it's not done as well as mine and it won't turn up at any shows!!

nice retro fit seats dude - good idea. Great condition to, did you get them re-trimmed?

Cheers! I don't like any of the mk3 seat designs. They haven't had any work done to them. Must've been used by a skinny bloke/bird when they were in a mk2.

I was just browsing the forums, until I saw your ride, and just had to register to comment ;)

That is one of the nicest Mk 3s i've ever seen. It's one of the best colours you can get, and What you've done with the exterior is great. Subtle, but effective

Although I don't drive yet (need to bok practical test :-p ), I do plan on getting a Mk 4 6N2 1.4 TDi if I can. I remember 9 years ago, my mum used to drive a Mk 3 1043 cc Polo Genesis Coupe. It may not have been the fastest thing around, but I loved that car.

The Mk 3 was one of the best looking models in my opinion, and your car is one of the best examples I've ever come across!! :-)

Looking good 2FChris. Got any plans for her? ;) I vote tubular manifold!

Btw I would lose the SG sticker, not that there's anything wrong with SG but I don't think it goes with your lovely motah!
