some hid kits will turn on at lower voltages than others, and the voltage to the bulb can be enough to actually power on some HID kits, so they only have an option of off, or headlights (and high beam) - no sidelight option

even if you don't plan on installing HID's - i'd sack it off anyway, there's no benefit from having it and your headlights would (theoretically) burn out quicker as they are always lit (albeit, dimly)

My HIDs seem to flicker when they come on.. would this be "little unneeded yellow coil thing" be the reason then? In fact last night i noticed the drivers side didn't come on at all until i switched them both off and on again.
