Hi Guys,

Just a quick one, hope someone could pass on some solutions.

Early on last year I was experiencing alot of rubbing when on half lock cornering (tyres too big for lows) and this was rubbing on the front part of the wing where it connects to the bumper.

I pin pointed the rubbing to the locating/fixing screw where the bumper first fastens to the wing and as a result of the rubbing, the bumper now hangs down as the metal is sheared and the plastic holding for the bumper screw is loose.

Has anybody got any ideas as to how this could be rectified? need to fix the sheared metal on the wing where the plastic sits.

Is there ANY plastic left to fix to? As you could re-locate the holes and fix that way, otherwise replace it - wouldn't know how though!

Wait I'm confused, you say the metal has worn? Can a tyre do that to metal?!

Hi mate, cheers for the reply.

On the underside of the wing (on the downward facing lip) is a square cut out for the plastic housing to sit in, and the bolt then goes through the bumper and screws into that plastic mounting. The metal has been snapped due to the wheel rubbing on it :(

I'm going to have a better look when it's not cold and I have time off work. Just wondered if anyone has had this happen before.
