6J 14"

Sorry, just seeing that after it had posted. It's really nice to see a Volkswagen show car without stretched tyres. Looks brilliant!

Satin blue too, they have decent taste ;)

T1R's are certainly the better looking 195/45 IMO, A539's look sick too, just hard to get hold of.

Wish you could get parada's in 14" :/

I rate 185/50 R14 over 195/45 R14. Having had both, the wider tyres are too wide for the Polo on standard geometry IMO and tend to tramline that bit more without offering any perceivable grip advantage. I love A539s too, so I've stockpiled them in 185/50 R14 - should hurry up and get the car back together so I can focus on wearing some of them out to save space in the garage.

I must admit I thought the 195 45 14 A539's on Yoofs old compos was the best set up I ever had!

The wheels/tyres on that beetle look excellent. Stretch tyres just don't look right at all IMO, as Alex says, square side walls all the way. Camber looks gay too

Yeah I'm fine with mine too, though I'm comparing them to my old 15s.

Nobody's mentioned 185/55-14's and to be honest they did feel a bit big. Gripped well, though.

But i'll put a pic up of the Goodyears i ran, now people are talking about running tyres that actually fit the wheels..

mikey, I drove with 185 55's on before ..

Gripped well and even though i had just a cheepo 60/40 kit on it improved ride abit due to the profile

I want to be awkward and say 175/55 which is a combination that I don't think exists. It would fit the wheel properly, isn't too wide or too tall or too low profile. I've got 165/55s but they're only available in budget brands and they do look stretched unless you get ones with rim protection.

I've had 185/55s and without lowering they're ok but they're a bit on the big side if you go below 40mm. My brother has some on his coupe at the mo and they're catching the inner arches on full lock.

yeah ,, shame about them not making 165/55's in better brands . 175 50 but there's only one decent brand which I'm sure is pirelle p900

Yeah, made for the Seicento Sporting Schumacher edition so they won't be around forever..

Gaz, I looked for 175/55 at the time (2007) but nobody could find them.
