Hi all I'm new on here, just bought my second polo which unfortunately only came with 1 key. It's a 6n2 match which apparently has a immobiliser. I popped the key open (not official vw) that came with the car and looked for a chip but couldn't see anything. So my question is- if I buy a blank and find someone to cut it, is it likely it'll need coding?

Can someone out a pic up of a key with a chip so I can see what to look for?

Take your existing key to timpsons, cost me about £20-25 and they will do you and blade and immobiliser chip

They did on mine so should do, ask first then you'll know, think they can't code remote central locking chips though but can't remember
