My tailgate on my 6n polo seems to be lifted on one side, and i'm not sure why.

The tailgate looks to be straight as i can't see any creases or bends in it. When its closed the stops on the tailgate are not making contact to the body.

What are peoples thoughts on this? any help would be appreciated.

Boot catch might need adjusting maybe?

if its only on one side then either its bent/twisted or your chassis is.

more than likely somebody has shut the boot with something hanging out on that side and its twisted it.

chuck a load of towles on the drivers side in the way of the boot shutting and push firm on the near side to twist it back.

Thanks for the input, I think you might be right as I've done what you said and it has come in a little. Will try some more at the weekend to try an get it perfect.

My only concern is that rear glass might break.

Do the hinges look to be inline? as there is a bit of adjustment on them, but you need to drop the roof lining to get full access to the bolt # 7 you might be able to get at it by removing the cover #39
