Who's the dickhead using a gearbox that doesn't have anywhere to bolt the dogbone mount too Looks like I got more fabrication to do :(

  • Nice work mate. I have just started a 20v project so I will be keeping a beady eye on this thread

Fitted the g60 gear shifter today, quite surprised that it bolted straight in without any modifications.....

Wow, I think this is one of the quickest builds I've seen on here! Good work mate

Really? Saying that my 5speed A3 shifter only needed one bracket drilling out and 2 holes drilled.

 ....

fair play to you cracking on with it

Yuupp! no mods what so ever, i did end up swapping the cables over though between boxes because the polo shifter was alot tighter and has a nicer feel.

Motoring on ;) shouldnt be too long. Dealing with spaghetti junction at the minute, alot of head scratching going on i have to be honest

Yeah the wiring can be a bitch.

Never thought of just swapping the cable overs, means i can just do a straight swap if it breaks though.

Crack on ;)

Looking good.

ENGINE IN VERY SOON !!

sick colour scheme going on there with that engine

great build mate :) will keep my eye on this!

Alright there mate, always wondered when I'd come accross your polo on here.

I'm the dude with the blue JDM 6n from the same area :)

Thought I hadn't seen this car for a while, now I understand why! Good effort man :)

Wow! Def keeping an eye on this!

Sort of makes me wish I'd put a 1.8t in my old 6n2 gti instead of getting the 9n3 gti.

Can't wait to see that bay when it's finished!

okay....time for an update!

Started on the engine mounts, boxed the drivers side chassis leg to give me something to weld the mount plate too and also made a notch for clearance (Excuse the silver paint, testing bay colours ;) )

I've got to mod it slightly as the clearance is a bit tight when in 1st
