Coilovers are on there way! (thank fuck)

been wanting a set for ages but didnt fancy spending £500 so got a new set off a mate for alot cheaper!

hopefully this will give lows that are required

Up-next ahhh booyy boot smooth!

when i had the car i sprayed the badges black, they started to crack a little the other week so i took them out and thought i would try summat out!

what i did first was sillicone a square of plasic (like a takeaway box type) on to the inside of the boot lid over the holes to create a surface to build on.

after i filled the holes with body filler flush to the boot lid and removed the rest.

after it had dried i compounded the boot lid to allow excess filler and mess to be removed

I had some red touchup stick which pretty much was the same colour as the car, used it for stone-chips and stuff when i first had it

i painted the holes over in the red and let it set, one or two needed another coat.

after that had dried i lacquered over the boot and in my opinion it looks sweet! you do notice its not completely flat but i dont fancy screwing the boot lid by sanding and spraying!

the holes are only noticeable close up!

close up after finished (only about .5 of a meter away!) the holes are noticeable

After Lacquer and a good ol' polish and wax sesh and i think they are hardly there and gives the affect of a smooth boot!

and in this picture on the way to UD13 you cannot see them what-so-ever so I'm smiley!

would consider doing a smooth if i wanted to get a re-spray, would take the lock out and put a magnetic catch on aswell for a full smooth!

UPDATE

chucked some spacers on the rears

makes it looook alot lower as the arch is filled more, more camber and wider so WIN WIN WIN :)

also means i can finally put my new wheel bolts in as they were longer, now with locking nuts (y) nice and shiney!

but with some more solid suspension under the rear it wont scrub... i would rather it not scrub tbh but it only catches now and again

UPDATE!

haven't done alot recently as been veeerry busy!

coilovers have arrived

fitted the rears yesterday and the fronts are getting pressed bearings as i speak ready to go on this afternoon!

hopefully the fronts will go as-low as the rears, turned the coils to the bottom few threads and it sat on the arches, with 13's "/

so fair to say i wond them up abit! - do have a video of the above and will upload later :)

so thats where i am atm,

so you dont think it will go low enough with helpers in?

I left them on and now have to take them apart again just to get them off... Not low enough, atleast with 13" wheels.

Please tell me you are declaring all this on your insurance mate

And are you running camber shims on the rear
