1.6 Polo GTI (2000) - Lovely Spec

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

The time has come for me to sell my pride and joy. It has been in our family for 5 years, with me owning it for the past 2 years. It has been a fantastic car, but unfortunately I need to upgrade to a bigger car for work reasons. :(

Without a doubt, this is one of the, if not the highest spec GTI's out there. It has had a serious amount of money spent on it getting it up to the highest standard achievable.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the best of its type thats out there.

Milage: 111,000 (Will go up daily)

Tax and MOT due: June 1st 2013

Number of owners: I am the 5th owner. My brother was the 4th.

From the beginning:

The car had a full respray in flash red in 2008. It is washed/vacuumed weekly and regularly polished to keep the paintwork fresh and clean.

Leather is treated once a month. The interior is perfect, not a mark on it.

Only 'V-Power' has been used when filling up to keep the engine running smooth and sweet.

It is regularly serviced with full service history. Genuine parts always used.

Gearbox was rebuilt at 78k, with the pedal box replaced twice under recall. No problems since.

Clutch was replaced 2k ago, cambelt has been recently done along with new water pump. Alternator has been replaced aswell.

The car is mechanically sound, and pulls incredibly well!

It is currently sitting on BBS 16" RX2's, but will be sold with freshly refurbed 15" BBS RX2's with new tyres.

It really is a fantastic car to drive. I will be so sad to see it go! You would be hard pushed to beat the spec on it!

The price doesn't reflect how much money has been spent on this. I would love it to go to a VW enthusiast so I know it will be appreciated and cared for!

It really needs to be viewed in person to see how much time has been spent on it! Please note that the number plate is not included in sale. The Original will be put back on. :)

Original plate: W471 LWP

Bump :)

Lovely spec on that.

Can i be cheeky and ask why the car was resprayed?

Also, any issues with the gearbox/pedal box?

James.

Hey man!

The car had a full respray as it had some lacquer damage due to being covered up by the previous owner!

Gearbox was rebuilt at 78k, and pedal box has been replaced twice under recall :)

No problems since!

Any more questions, give me a shout mate :)

Cheers!
