Cheers nige :-D

After all this time it best be worth the wait

How long has it been? It's on at such a shit time. I'm often down the gym on a sunday night and forget about this. If it was 9, that'd be much better. Although sunday nights are now looking up with top gear and MOTD2. Lovely

NEW TOP GEAR :D

Why do I keep glancing at this thread and thinking it says "reindeer"

Same, I swear I heard James May say on an interview somewhere that it wasn't back on until later in the year?

Thinking about it he might be talking just about the Christmas special.

You really need to drag yourself into the 20th century si

I think Clarkson wrote something like that in one of his columns or something, I don't rememberer exactly.

The 20th century was 1901-2000

Yes Matt, that was the joke

it still had i-player, so it'd be an improvement!!

Set to record, as I'm at work :(

Hmmm, 1st time I've been able to watch in HD, good times :p

Just watched it, on iplayer, quite enjoyed it.

Making a very dangerous car road legal isn't brilliant, though. When they wanna aim to make it tougher than it already is to put a custom vehicle on the roads, they're taking the piss - we can't all afford Paganis (though we can take inspiration from rose-jointed gear shift mechanisms..) though it's nice to recognise we don't all want cars twice the size of Cortinas.

There was a Bentley in there somewhere, possibly not as well filmed as we're accustomed to, a british bloke who could drive in the snow which was odd, and erm, can't remember much else but not a bad hour spent.

Doubt the P45 would do anything to make getting a car road legal any more difficult, mostly due to the fact it wasn't a custom car that had been put on the road. It was a quad with the handle bars replaced with a steering wheel

they probably just bought a 100cc road legal quad, changed the bars, stuck the fiber glass shit on to make it less quad like and insured it as a modified quad. I doubt there would be any more need to IVA this than there would if you fitted an aftermarket steering wheel and body kit to your car. If anything it just high lights how stupid small powered road legal quads are

I've no doubt that's what they did, still makes a mockery of what you can put on the road when safer and more sensible stuff is failing the IVA :(

I'm off to classified sites to look for turbochargers, R32 engines and MG Midgets..

I saw someone else mention that its a reg for a vespa

According to my mate who looked up the reg of the P45 is for a transit van! :?

A yellow one!

i dont know what was funnier - watching james may try to read rally notes or watching james may trying not to scream like a little girl and shit himself

123bhp! That little thing must shift!

How long ago would this of been filmed? Wonder if the reg has been swapped for some reason since then? Seems unlikely but I wouldn't of thought the BBC would be so stupid as to ring a car before filming it and broadcasting it to millions of people... But I guess it is the BBC

It was filmed in early December but even then it was registered as a Transit.
