How long has that box been sat outside for aha :p the gearbox was fine and running when in car, no noises, crunches or anything ? If you're willing to offer me a personal guarantee that it's all lovely, I'll pick it up Saturday. I'll be grumpy if its no good haha, and I will be cracking it open to check the bearings !

basically i bought a whole engine converison off a chap on here, i picked it up maybe a month ago now. It had been kept in his garage till i collected it (still attached to the engine), i then took the gearbox off literally last night as i don't need it in my mk1, so belive it or not it has been dry stored :) the shifter selects all gears and all looks good, but i have got to be honest i haven't driven on it, as the engine was out the car before i saw it. I was told it was 100% when removed by the guy i purchased from :)
