getting a custom exhaust made and fitted tomorrow and i've still not decided on a tailpipe as of yet :?

what are people favourites on MK2F? I'm not a fan of bumper chopping so its going to be below the bumper by the way

feel free to post pics of examples, I'm leaning towards getting an upswept like people do but it twin form instead of a single

UPSWEPT LOOKS MEAN!

do it or i will cry!

mk2red23.jpg

SEE!!!

But the bumper on the mk2 Golf is a diffrent shape, the polo is almost vertical meaning that an upswept one would look a bit daft.

I've clicked other, single 2.5/3" Round or Oval.

Only picture I have of the back of my car

I've a 2.5" outward rolled. Suits the older style of car.

Chimneys ain't cool.

I'd go for hidden. If I didn't have a saloon, with rear valance cut out, thats what I'd go for

not a fan of the upswepts that literally point upwards i was thinking 45* at most, but the single ones are so overdone and suit golfs more i think, why i was thinking of having two maybe but i think that might look odd

i've had a single straight pipe and tbh they look a bit boring, if i was going to have a normal straight exhaust i'd have a twin shotgun

was thinking a hidden one for more clearance and a cleaner looking backend but i dont know, i might like something shouty looking

hmm shotgun style

thats the thing, theres upswept and then theres pointing upwards which I'm not a fan of

Na man, this up-swept look wouldnt look right on a mk3!

The one on that MX5 looks bob to me I'm afraid!

Id say just keep it simple, like the one cymro showed you, or go for the hidden one. :)

PS. Whats shotgun style?

Hidden, or single exit. Anything else looks terrible on a MK3. Although i was guilty of an upswept twin on my old MK1, and it looked awesome, so period perfect. I still have the back box (NOS ANSA from 1977) in case i get another MK1:

Damn! i miss that car :-(

Here's mine, quite like it but personally I'd go for single upswept, looks bad ass! :)

There's a lot going on with the back of this :-S

Dont know what you mean by 'alot going on' It was standard apart from the wheels, stickers and exhaust.

It's very busy, what with the various stickers, check mudflaps aand twin exhaust. There's a small area at the back and it's all full. the standard fog add to it, hanging off the bumper. It's cool, just a comment.

Any way, Hayley Williams. Yawl know what I'm talking about!

also known as blast pipes, from the drift/jap scene

obviously a smaller bore though

I'm torn between a complete hidden one like most suggest, a single upswept (but i think they look a little silly) and a shotgun like above

It was for a while. The checks on the mud flaps fell off, probabbly when i wound it up to its max speed, 84. and i took off the stickers either side of the plate. Just wish i hadnt crashed it, and still had it. Its still going somewhere, i'd buy it back if i could.

Hayley Williams......

singles suit the car I've just finished making single 2 1/4" angle to the side slightly dont think anything else suits them

I know it's not a facelift model but i did have a twin for all of two days..

i like single upswept, but obvs it suits the shape of a mk2 more..

to be honest, if you not gonna recess the bumper for it i think it looks daft, and id run a hidden one.

ones where they sit half in the bumper look SOOO much better dude.

Yours is the only one that pulls off a letterbox style for me, dont quite know why though! Might be cos its a powerhouse and not a little standard 1 litre haha

Kinda like that lambo with the 2 foot wide exhaust, works on that but would be horrific on a saxo
