just got told by a garage that my cable keeps snapping because the clutch is too hard, and i need a knew one. got the same response from a number of garages so i know that it's definately the problem. Also my cheapest quote was 'around 200' and i'm not willing to fork out that much on a cheap car does anyone have one that i could pick up for not as much money? doesn't have to be nearly new just in decent condition! thanks

If your thinking of fitting a second hand one mate, why bother?

The last one I bought was from ebay and came in at £20 delivered.

Most of that £200 has to be labour.

If like me, you dont like paying others to fix your car, buy a Haynes and some tools and do it yourself.

aye mate just had a look about and found some dead cheap ones! looked after i posted this expecting the worst so i'm quite pleased :-D yeah i need to get hold of a manual and call on the grease monkeys do lend a hand. wouldn't wanna put all my hard earned money into someone elses pocket when i could do it myself haha. cheers man!

Cheap clutches are more bother than they're worth...just save up the extra and get a LUK clutch
