-1993 BMW 525tds saloon in sterling silver

-MOT till April

-Tax till March

-Minimal service history

-Mileage 163000 approx

I have had this car about 5 months and covered approx 3000 miles in it.

Its the 2.5 straight 6 turbo diesel engine mated to a 5 speed manual box.

I will start with the recent work

-New clutch master cylinder

-New Downpipe

-Battery with 3 year warrenty

-Oil & Filter using fully synthetic oil

-Coolant Flush and new thermostat

-Fuel and air filter

-fitted refurbished headlight units

-Lower suspension arm and bushes

-Fixed a leaky power steering pipe

-some re wiring.

-Brand new wind screen.

-Legal pressed plates (factory plates included)

-Philips x-treme vision bulbs

I then had a tuning chip fitted by Enda from endtuning which upped the power from that standard 143bhp to 170-180bhp with 360nm torque

The car pulls very well in all gears and still returns a decent mpg on a run.

Its a great motorway car and just eats up the miles with ease. It is also nimble enough for town driving.

Its so much fun to drive and drives like a petrol car.

It goes better than a vr and returns better mpg. And is also far better!

Spec

-Pre facelift model

-The car comes fitted with desirable black sports leather in good condition bar a hole in the drivers seat bolster

-It also has a rare Nardi 'woodline' steering wheel which as far I am aware were made by nardi in Italy in 1995 only, and not many units were made.

-M5 rear plate tub and rear spoiler in excellent condition

-Manual gearbox =]

-Electric windows, mirrors, sunroof all in full working order

-17 Style 32 alloys with excellent tyres all round

-BMW factory alarm and immobiliser with auto window close and sensors and stuff

-Uprated shocks and lowered springs giving a slight drop (unsure of brand)

The car is a joy to own and drive as you would expect from a bmw.

It is quiet, comfy, refined and goes very well for such a large diesel powered car.

The bad.

-The car had some welding done to the sills a while back but its not a very tidy job

-Gear selector is a bit sloppy but every gear selects fine with no crunches

-Small patch of rust on boot lid

-ABS light on due to damaged wire running to rear passenger side ABS sensor(just needs re soldering under rear seat)

-Reverse light switch is temperamental( Not an MOT problem)

-Needs about 30 quids worth of bushes but it does not effect the way the car drives at all.

-I think it needs a new lift pump as it takes a 5 turns longer to start when the tank is nearly empty but I don't tend to let it get less that anout 1/8 so have no problems.

-Body work is rough around the edges

Overall its a decent, reliable car that I would happily jump in and travel 500 miles knowing that I would make it there in comfort and in style.

Would make a great commuter car or if you really must it would make an excellent drift car :\

It was excellent in the snow this month and has not struggled once (Winter wheels and tyres available at an extra cost)

Price wise, due to spec, I am looking for £900 ono or open to a p/x of anything really as long as it not anything small or expensive to insure.

Car has not had a wash for a while so is filthy in all pictures!

Averaged 45mpg over the past week of mixed driving with a few pokes at the throttle!

Not bad for an almost 180bhp saloon.

This can be insured on a classic policy for very little!
