Club Polo - Biggest following? Why are you here?

Featured Replies

I'm struggling to find another car forum in the uk, that even matches Club Polo's following! Why is it we have such a large community? Not complaining! Is it the fact that VW make some damn fine cars?

What were your reasons for joining Club Polo?

Personally it was to buy and sell my cars, but it has become so much more than that for me! I now have a genuine passion for my little polo, no matter how much money it costs me!

But then again these guys, we've got nothing on them ;)http://www.micra.org.uk/forum/

Hahaha, its the banter more than anything.

But ye the Micra OC.....I'm sure its £15 a year for basic membership going up to £30 odd for GOLD membership......I know theres one club like that. lol

Can't remember why I signed up think it was looking for a mk3 found one I wanted and needed to join to contact them?

Yeah the passion for polo thing is killing me at the moment I've owned mine about a 6 weeks and already spent £600 on it. Slippery slope

As for the forum it keeps me entertained daily so I stick about and contribute when I can

The forum isn't as busy as it used to be.

I initially joined because it was more fast paced than UK-Polos and came up first on Google.

I originally joined to buy coilovers off PhilJ for my Lupo, 5 polos later I'm still here. :)

I joined for ideas/inspiration for the polo when I got it.

After the first few months in pretty sure I'm on here everyday browsing/posting/bantering (I have no life )

Also it has helped me personally to build a little more confidence as I'm pretty shy and sturggle to talk to new people, but going to the shows (even the polo show I went I my own and knew no one atall) people have made it easy to talk to them, still not spoke to alot of people but I'm getting there

Wouldn't join any other polo forum to be honest, it's got all you need in one place

I Joined because i'd bought my first car at 17 which was a 1.0 6n2 and i had no idea even with basic mechanics or anything and since joining, i'll try my hand at most things now. Some i'm not very good at, admittedly. It was also the first result on google when i did a search.

Wouldn't join any other VAG forum now, I still drive VAG, (and doubt i'd change to another manufacturer), but it's a seat ibiza, not a polo, but they're similar enough anyway.

I've been here toooooo long

I've been lurking on here for 11 and a half years now. With the same car.

It's much bigger than it was back then.

Yes 009.

Who was 007? hahaha

I got bought a polo as my mum wanted her Saxo back.........Safe to say I found this lunatic asylum and some how became one of the wardens.:lol::lol:

I don't make friends easily so i don't want to leave and be a newbie on other forums.

Alan Lawrence, aka Poloace, I think.

This is before Porka.net too.

Thought id stalk the membership system but to no avail. lol

Nah this is e-group stuff. I was the ninth to person to become a paid member, but about the 25th person to sign up on here (as Porka.net)

ah right.

Initially i joined Polo3 but this forum is FAR more active and i like the banter :) users are also very useful and not dicks like on other forums. Club Lupo is a fine example of a forum full of dickheads!

Suits me, I might sign up fit right in

Group hug for Matt at the next show xxx

I found this place while looking for parts for my newly acquired coupe, I had no idea what a forum was and had pretty much never used the internet before that point. I was quickly hooked on the off topic banter and never really left since, it was on a whole different level back then mind with people like 'treadstone' posting video's of stuff such as German priests shiting on nuns while standing on someone's grave

I thought being a warden was on a floating rota and everyone gets a go?

i have no idea why i signed up, cant complain though met a fair few people and had a lot of laughs 8-)

I joined when I bought my first Polo Coupe.

Found it to be full of people with more intelligence and also much cheaper than the other forums I've joined.

It is quieter now from when I joined but I still come on from time to time to see what's going on.

Also met a few good friends on here which is a bonus!

Dad originally signed up to this, he bought me a 6n for my 15th, he hid it around my Nans so I had no idea, went around there and he handed me keys wasn't expecting a car and was best present ever, was a little rough, he got it for £300, he then gave me details of here to learn and get parts ect, done up the 6n I'm about 6 months but of bored, so sold it, bought a mk3 at 16, got that running good ect then had a crash on a moped so couldn't get insured for love or money, so had to sell that :/ then bought my lupo from after my 17th and now drive that, still have a soft spot for polos, haven't really left as haven't found another forum that can offer the banter And help. So yeah that's my life story
