I'm Joss, long time lurker.. Skinny white kid with floppy hair.. That's about all I can think of to tell you about myself.

Anyway I bought this little 1.0 6n2 for £900 in June of 2012. Electric mirrors, however manual sunroof and windey windows, anyone know how simple it is to fit lecky ones?

But anyway, in the past 8 months it's had the following:

Flat tyre..

And that's it. I was planning to sell up and get something nippier but after a few weeks of saving I had an impulse buy moment:

15 x 7 on the front, 15 x 8 for the back. Need to save for a couple of weeks to afford tyres, then afterwards I'll slap on some JOM's and the fun will start :)

So current mods:

Osram night breaker bulbs

Fli component speakers

Edge 12" Subwoofer

Alfa Romeo 147 leather front seats

Borbet Type As 15x7 and 15x8 ET0

Pressed plates

JOM Coilovers

I wouldn't bother checking back here too often if I were you guys, I'm on an apprentice wage...

i know how you feel, I'm on a apprentice wage too :(

Thankfully mine's pretty good, only been there a year and I get £200 a week, but I've just finished paying £300 a month to insure this...

Picking these up on Friday afternoon! Bit of a mission to Oxford for them but meh, I have nothing better to do!

I pay loads for my insurance aswell bud, thinks its where i live and age :(

Thanks! Its clean in the sense that theres no rust, but its got a few dings etc, and I need a new drivers side mirror as the casing is mullered and really I'd like a second stubby!

blimey I'm still paying my first year off mines 3500

Mine was with one of those tracker box things too!

Seats shall be in tomorrow morning, got the rear bench too I'll have to look at whats involved with fitting it, see whether I can be bothered, might just leave it out and false floor/carpet the back to be honest!

New seats in, couldnt be bothered to feck around with the rear bench I'll save that for another day.

Test fitted the wheels, DATPOKE.

£4k insurance on a 1l polo where do some off these insurance companies get off, that's extortionate

Well I'm ordering coilies when I get paid on the 28th, tempted by JOMs unless anyone's got any better suggestions?

Then its wheels on and get it colourcoded/smartened up before anything else!

I haven't usd joms so can't say much avout them, I'm using the rokkor ones that Phil j on here sells an for budget coillies they do the job

those seats look nice, what are they out of?

I may consider those ones, it all depends on my financial position in a couple of weeks!

And thanks, they're out of an Alfa Romeo 147, incredible how comfy they are haha. They were welded to Polo GTI rails, and I got the backs too but they're in crap condition so I've got odd front and rears until I get the rears re-covered!

Just ordered some JOM's! :)

If they're delivered when they're supposed to be delivered they should be fitted by Monday.

Lows happened today. Only took one shot because I've been busy smashing my underside on speed bumps in London since they were fitted.

Car feels awesome, like a kart. Wheels are going on Monday, got 175/55/15s for the 8J and 165/50/15s for the 7J, not that anyone's interested lol.

Need arches rolling, plastic liners removed and smaller tires on the back so I can go lower all round.

Surprised the rears dont poke more to be fair!

Miss how it drove on the steel wheels because I've raised it and put stretched tires on it, but I guess it's a sacrifice I'll have to make!
