was just wondering if it is a stright swap or do i need to cut anything for it to fit?

I wasnt trying to, i just wanted an answer to my question, plus i've tryed looking and cant find anything can you help at all?

No cutting needed, will fit on the existing mounts as the engine is out of the same car lol.

Will need:

Engine + gearbox

Ecu + transponder and key

fuel pump

Engine loom

Brakes and hubs

driveshafts (possibly)

bigger radiator

and possibly selector.

might have missed some stuff there but think thats about it

According to vagcat the radiator and fuel pump are both the same parts and don't need to be changed.

As far as i can tell the drive shafts are the same as well.

I would replace the interior loom so you get central locking, electric windows, etc also while you are there you may as well fit abs.

my build is more a reshell than a conversion.

There are two fuel pumps listed.

One is a 1BAR fuel pump, the other is a 3BAR fuel pump. The engine codes that use the 3BAR are: "AEE, AFH, AHS, AER, AEX, AKV"

Part number: "1H0 919 651 P" . Think the 1.0L was AER? So should get away with it!
