Afh 1.6 16v bottom end provisonally sold

Featured Replies

Hey

I'm getting rid of all my spare bits that are no longer needed

Rebuilt afh bottom end SOLD

i have an afh block fitted with the 1.6 16v internals

i dont need the internals as I'm staying 1.4 but i wanted the block so have put the internals into a spare afh block i have to save someone else the trouble

block is painted hammerite blue

looking for £100 for this

both collection from Corby or i could deliver for diesel cost

or a courier could be arranged but it would more than likely be cheaper me delivering tbh

no pics atm but I'm sure you all know what they look like

any questions just ask need these gone as taking up spare room and perfect for some one to start the conversions

The afh 1.6 .. has this been rebuilt or honed ?

Gonna do the same conversion but if this has had new rings and been honed it may save me the hassle ..

Cheers

Blocks honed and rings were fine when they came out of other block so will be fine in this one so haven't replaced them otherwise I would e selling it for alot more

This will save you the hassle of drilling the relay roller and sleeving the head for headbolts as if you were using the avy or arc block an can also use an afh head gasket which I have a brand new one off which I can add for £20

I know lol >

I'm doing the exact same thing, afh block with avy internals..

but if rings were replaced i would of snapped your hand off lol .

Rather do it for sake of mind as i have both afh/avy atm just need rings

The rings were replaced a while ago in the engine I've used the internals from but I'm not too sure when they will be fine with the freshly honed block as there's no wear on them

Hmm .. could u give me a rough estimate how many miles ago ?

Rather intrested if theres its a non smoker lol ;)

Tbh that's why it's so cheap £100 for internals and an afh block is a bargain and saves you buying two full engines to make one

And I it ha new rings I would be charging alot more

I mean if you pay for rings I will buy them and fit them for you

I'm not sure how many miles ago but the engine the internals came from ran as worked perfectly fine

Let me Have a think mate,

I know the milage of my avy thats all

Not sure if I've miss read ..

Are you selling it as avy internals and afh block basicly a built engine that youve ran or is that youve got avy internals and a spare block so your just going to chuck them in ?

I haven't ran it no I've got an afh block and putting the 1.6 internals in it to save some one else te hassle an I haven't just chucked them in I know what I'm doing

I've rebuilt about 5-6 engines now

An like I've said if you pay for new rings I will fit them for you same as main bearings and big ends if you really want piece of mind and a bottom end to literally drop in your motor
