Yes BUT at the risk of the bolt failing under stress.

just spoken to the garage they have got them all straight now anyway so stress free now haha

Could have ground down the eccentric washer which makes it a cam type adjustable bolt, not the shank of the bolt

ground down the bolt's not a good ida they stop things falling off your car (example wheals )

eben if you fround down the washer thats fixed to the bolt its there for a reason to stop the bolt falling through the hole it goes into

Also, that makes it look like I think it's an okay idea, it's not.

Get the proper bolts in and get it right, I don't want a wheel falling off.

Well if I remember rightly the area of the bolt head on the cam bolts is larger than that of the standard bolt, therefore there's more area clamping to the surface of the strut, so grinding some away it could still be a larger clamping area than the standard bolt, and furthermore the cam bolt is larger than the wheel knuckle/hub machine surface that you clamp the damper bracket to anyway.

Shouldn't have needed cam bolts, or to grind them down though, but hey it's sorted now.

There is also some camber adjustment on the bottom ball joint as the 3 bolts are on small slots so you can do minor adjustments there too.
