Audi A4 tdi B5 (1998)

Featured Replies

Looking to swap my Audi since my wife got a new c3 tdi so no need for us both to have economical cars. I do deliverys for local takeaway shops and the car has been excellent and never let me down. Doing deliverys and journeys to work and back i usually average 40MPG or just over and that me with a heavy right foot.

It has 18" alloys with 4 good tyres. I started refurbishing these but then the weather got bad and i decided to leave it until the summer, so 2 are silver and 2 are black although i'd do the 2 black ones again.

I have fitted LED running lights to the front bumper which are wired to the stereo they come on and off when the key is in the ignition or out.

I wired a strip of red LED in the 2 front footwells that come on and off with the doors, this is to match the colors of the dash and stereo.

It has a CD player with fron Aux (3.5 mm Jack plug), standard fron speakers, 6x9's on the back shelf and a 10" sub in the boot.

Lots of old receips including the cam belt change done at 140k miles (Nov 2010)

A lot of previous MOTs

The car did have full Audi service history untill i got it in Feb last year, but i have lost the service book so this cant be proven unfortunatley. The was last serviced last week with oil filter, new oil, glow plugs and air filter and its going in on Friday to get a new fuel filter.

The car has covered 156,000 miles and will rise daily. But these engines are good for double that if looked after propperly.

MOT is October 17th

Tax is end of April

Its the 90bhp version and SE spec so it has Cruise Controll.

Bad Points:

The seats are pretty dirty from the previous owner and i had intended on getting the valeted but didnt bother once i had the seat covers on it.

Small dent in the boot from before i got it. Not that noticible but probably the worst part of the body work.

Airbag light is on, but it still pases MOT with it on and i have covered it with black tape for the time being. I only came on 1 day when i had flattened the battery. Not sure why but its never went back off.

Hope this works

Great big car for Familys with loads of room inside.

I'm not in a Great rush as i really like the car but i miss my old GT and fancy something a little bit more fun again.

For forum rules i'll say asking price of £1000 but would much rather swap than sell.

Location:

Just outside Glasgow but i dont mind meeting if the deal is right.

Possibly. I'd rather a swap than a sale. What you got in mind.
