its the easiest thing to do! 5 bolts on the front and 8 for the back

so yesterday i managed to get this done

my mates a carpenter so he cut it all out for me at his workshop which saved me from having to wack out all the powertools :L

its waaaaaaay too big though so probably gna end up making another one in the distant future but its fine as it is

anyway halfway through wiring it in this happened

They already do!

Bumpers look much better. You've done well cleaning this up. Under bonnet sound deadening is a rare option on these 8-)

yeah my dad told me i was well chuffed :)

quick update:

car hasn't started since friday :( replaced all spark plugs, ht leads, dizzy cap, but still nothing :/

all i get is the engine turning over and then hitting some resistance. checked all spark plugs and they spark fine, checked that the fuel is pumping and its fine.

it did start on a tow friday but it was running shit and missfiring

the battery had a fresh charge yesterday and still nothing

i have checked the firing order and made sure that was all correct just in case i made a mistake in changing the stuff over but it is all correct

so now i am crying out for help because i dont know what to do next haha

oh and its a 1.6 aee

not too sure how many people are actually looking at this haha but thought id ask on here anyway...

looking for a gearbox for the aee as i only have a 4 speed on at the moment. have read that the cl box is good as it has good long ratios and can take the power but was also looking at how you can fit mk4 polo box's in? just wondering if anyone has had experience with both and can tell me which ones better to go for. from my prospective it looks like i can get a mk4 box much easier than a mk3 but i havnt really looked into the ratios/how much power it can take point of view.

help would be greatly appreciated
