1989 Genuine mk2 Jetta GTI 16v

Featured Replies

Time has come to sell my Jetta as its just not getting used with my new job, I've recently just started delivering for Airbus to Europe so I am away all week so its not getting the use it deserves, I'm looking to swap for something smaller just to potter around in until my project 20v is complete.

about the car :

GX75XLL

Make: Volkswagen

Model: GTI 16v

Year/Reg:1989 last of the 90 spec

Mileage: clocks say 56k I don't have any history other than old MOTs and the general condition of the car

MOT: MOT is either July or august ill double check once i'm home

Tax: It will come with 6months tax

Good points:

This car has been my pride an joy for 2 years now and to see it go :(.

The paint work is good but looks like its had paint in the past polished up really good few stone chips here an there as you would expect.

Small euro bumpers fitted

G60 front arches and 90 spec rears and skirts

G60 wheels, rears are banded by a 1'' for the offset look. has balloon tyres though came with wheels,

Stainless steel exhaust from the front

Smoked indicators

Pressed plates

Coilovers

Bad points: (They all have them)

This car needs a few jobs doing to it to make it mint, I would do these jobs and sell it for a lot more as these cars are rare!

The only reason I'm not doing them my self is I just don't have the time I work travelling back an two to Europe 3-4 times a week so I'm shattered when I get home.

The car will come with all the parts needed to make it mint so your not forking out again.

Jobs that need doing:

Thrust bearing...... Easy to do you go through side of gearbox.

2x front wheel bearings

2x front wishbones

1x gearbox mount.

Other bad bits are odd stone chip here and there

balloon tyres

exhaust rattles sometimes

drivers door doesn't lock

Location:

Cars located in Wrexham North Wales

Price:

I'm after a swap really for a Mk3 GT or any half decent mk3, but for forum rules price wise id say £1700ono just because how rare a genuine GTi 16v is and the jobs that need doing
