I still have the block left from my 1.0 1982 mk2. Located in Stroud.

Edit. It's a 1043cc engine code GL.

opps yeah mine is a 1093cc was close shah

i'll have a bare block going spare soon,

apparently the previous owner replaced

the head gasket but didn't bother with the

cambelt, its in a B-reg breadvan and apparently

is the original engine, yours for beer money.

nr Nottingham Ikea, M1 j26.

I might be wrong here, but I think a B-reg bready will be a 1043cc? You might get away with it though because I think they're the same bore as the 1093.

Roughly speaking (mainly because of late-reg'd cars), the 1043cc replaced the 895cc at the enf of the mk1's run and the 1272cc replaced the 1093cc in 1982. Then in 1984 they went to hydraulic tappets and breakerless ignition, so the head was redesigned.

Series2: fair enough, today was a school day.

If you were to be interested in my block it's £Free.
